Our holiday to INDIA is finally here! Today we are travelling over 4000 miles to North India for our 2 week trip to the golden triangle.
The golden triangle is a well trodden circuit for tourists and includes Delhi, Agra (for the Taj Mahal), and Jaipur - it is so called because of the triangular shape formed by the 3 locations on a map. The full circuit is about 900 km by road so some days we have long journeys travelling between places but hopefully it should be worth it!
Our itinerary is as follows:
New Delhi - 8-11 February (we arrive at 1:30am local time on the 8th!)
Agra - 11-12 February
Sapotara - 12-14 February
Jaipur - 14-17 February
Shahpura - 17-18 February
Neemrana - 18-19 February
New Delhi - 19-21 February
As you can see from the itinerary we will be staying in several different places - to get the most out of the trip I have chosen different types of accommodation ranging from home-stays, where you stay with a local family, and heritage properties to forts and palaces.
We are looking forward to seeing a completely different culture, seeing the sights and beautiful scenery and tasting proper indian food - hopefully we won't get Delhi Belly!
